Jessica and Rebecca - A Rittenhouse and Cira Centre Lesbian Vintage Inspired Wedding

My wife Jordan and I were walking around Philadelphia Gayborhood with a group of friends during the 2017 Outfest Street Festival when our sweet friend Jess mentioned that a cute girl she had been chatting with online was approaching us. Little did we know that 2 years later Jess and that girl, Rebecca, would be getting married not that far from where they first met. And of course, I got to be the one to capture it all.

If you have followed me for a while on social media, you know that Jessica is one of my dearest friends. We meet the spring of 2016 at a photoshoot for The Strong Catalyst (may it rest in peace) and I immediately knew this girl was gunna be my friend for the long haul. Her laugh, tell it like it is personality, her vintage obsessed style, and the way she makes people feel valued and important were just a few of the things that drew me to her and as they say, the rest was history. Jordan and I are pretty protective of the people we love and so when Jess had her heart broken by a previously relationship, we both hoped to see our friend find the kind of love she deserved and in walked Rebecca.

These two balance each other in a way that is honestly, oh so gay. Jess is over the top, Rebecca is more reserved. They are both emotional and laughter filled, kind with a side of sass. Rebecca loves trains, so much so that she works for Amtrack and we even incorporated 30th Street Station into some photos while Jess is the real life Mrs Maisel, complete with pinup hair, jokes, excellent cooking skills and the kind of heart that is a rare find in this world. They are, as we coined for the wedding day, subtle and understated, or in more clear terms, full of life, color and bigger than life love and personalities. And I adore them together.

Their wedding day was a photographers dream. You will see as you scroll through the pictures below but it was full of rich details, a lot of laughter, sweet portraits and a party that we will all remember for a long time. And their outfits ya’ll!!!!! Rebecca took an already awesome suit from Asos and customized with a local tailor to include pieces of her mom’s wedding dress and it was such an incredible look! And of course there will little accents of Philly and trains in the details too! Jess wore a beautiful Hayley Paige gown from the one and only Kleinfields in NYC and she looked like a Disney princess come to life. She had 3 little girls in her wedding party too and the photos of them together melted my heart. And their venue is def a new fav! Jess said they chose it because it reminded them of an urban greenhouse and it was the perfect location for their day! Their vendor team did a fantastic job too and it was so fun getting to work with old friends (Sara of Elegance Artistry and Sarah of Vault and Vine) as well as new friends too!

I could go on and on about these two and their incredible Cira Centre wedding but I will let ya’ll see it for yourselves! Jess and Rebecca, I love ya’ll to pieces and I am so happy Jordan and I get to call you friends. Hopefully I will keep getting the honor of capturing your love and story for many years to come <3
