Emily and TJ - A Merion Tribute House Winter Wedding
There are a few things that can send me into a tizzy on a wedding day and weather is one of those. Add to that freezing temps and a bride that is also a friend, and let's just say, I was a little nervous to make sure I got this one right. I also had never shot at The Merion Tribute House but its on my dream venue list for a while now! But as soon as the zipper went up on Emily's custom David Tutera gown from L&H bridal, I went from nervous to completely excited for this sweet woman to marry the man of her dreams. Emily and her dad shared the sweetest first look before she and TJ finally saw each other, and it was one of my favorite moments of the day. With her mom looking on and her dad taking her hand to twirl her around, you could just feel the love and joy her parents had for her, which is exactly the kind of start I love for a wedding day. With the help of our associate and second shooter Jessa, we shot TJ and Emily's first look and then moved straight on to their bridal party and family before it was time for these two to get married!
The ceremony was perfectly sweet with personalized vows and the sunset streaming in through the windows. After finally being pronounced as husband and wife, we took a few minutes to photograph the newlyweds with the fading sun behind them before they went and enjoyed their cocktail hour! I love first looks because they allow my couples to enjoy their day with each other and their guests rather than spending their cocktail hour taking photos!
Lauren from Bloomsbury Floral Designs created stunning bouquets, aisle details, centerpieces, and more to accent the winter colors, Elegance Artistry provided stunning (as always!!) hair and makeup and Blue Root Entertainment had the guests dancing all night long. We lucked out that right before we left, the snow started back up for a few minutes and we were able to sneak TJ and Emily away for a few night photos in the snow. It was the perfect ending to the most wonderful winter wedding!
TJ and Emily, thank you for allowing me and Jessa the honor of photographing your beautiful start to your own happily ever after. I wish the happiest of lives together and I hope you enjoy your preview images! We love ya'll!!
