Michal and Jacob - A Temple Emanu-El Closter NJ Jewish Wedding

I have put off writing this blog post for about a month because I honestly have struggled with the words to talk about this day. I love what I do and I love all of our couples and their beautiful, authentic wedding days but Michal and Jacob truly stole my heart. They had a beautiful Jewish summer wedding at Temple Emanu-El in Closter New Jersey and from the moment I got out of the car to when we left that night, it was like my team and I were welcomed into their family. I have never in my ten years of doing this experienced a wedding where the joy was that palatable. The energy and the way their parents and friends so clearly loved and supported them and the way their siblings served them that day, it was honestly one of my favorite weddings of my career.

And to make it even more special, it was one of the hardest for me as well! We had shot two weddings the Friday and Saturday prior in Detroit Michigan and Philadelphia PA and this wedding was full of a lot of traditions, once in a lifetime moments and having to think quick all while being admittedly a little tired. But what I ended up with was a wedding gallery I am SO PROUD of for a couple I truly couldn’t adore more. And i. know a huge part of that is because Michal and Jacob are the kind of couple who truly understands what love and grace and joy and family should mean and it was such an honor to be invited into their relationship and their wedding day.

I will warn ya’ll, this is a LONG blog post because there was just so much I wanted to share. I also, not so secretly, would love to work at the venue again because it is a photographers dream! I originally had selected over 400 images but got that down by about half! Whoops! But you’ll see, these two had the most perfect day and its hard to not share all of it!

Before I share my favs, I also wanted to take a moment and thank my team that day this day run so perfectly! A huge thank you to Katelyn for being my second shooter, to Jordan for doing an amazing job on the video and to my sister Britt for being the glue that held us all together. Ya’ll are the dream team <3
